I get asked “what should I wear” so often! So I decided to prepare a boudoir session style guide with a few tips on what items, patterns, and materials that photograph well.

 

First and foremost – I want you to wear what YOU feel comfortable and beautiful in. Keep in mind, the goal is for you to feel confident and beautiful during your session! Here you will find a variety of outfits to pick and choose from your own wardrobe, shown and worn by real clients. Don't be afraid to bring more options than the package specifies. I will help choose what works from your selection.

1. ONE PIECE

Complimentary on all body types and super sexy in any colour! 
Choose delicate, dainty patterns over big patterns a or shapes as they will distract the eye.

2. MATCHING SETS

Two piece matching sets are a go-to. These can be Lacey or casual and laid back.

3. A WHITE TEE

Can be paired with any bottoms! This is a super versatile item that can amp up your photo's effortlessly.

4. JEANS

Not the first thing you think of for a lingerie shoot, but jeans can be used to give a "laid back" look.

5. THE OVERSIZED BUTTON UP SHIRT

A classic. Grab your other half's work shirt and spice it up with you wearing it. It looks way better on you anyway.

6. HIGH WAISTED UNDERWEAR

If you haven't bought yourself a pair of these yet, you may never buy normal undies again. High waists are my favourite as they accentuate any body shape and create a beautiful hour glass shape.

7. ACCESSORIES

Anything you can think of that tells your story. Accessories such as boots (for an edgy look), hats, long socks or anything that has meaning to you and makes you feel special.

8. ABOUT BRA'S

Please bring a mixed variety of bra types. Padded bra's move on your body and may create a gap when laying in down. Unpadded bra's are more complimentary for certain poses. I will guide you through this too when deciding the order of outfits.

THINGS TO AVOID

Corsets. They may feel great because they squeeze in the tummy but they cause an overflow over the top area. 

Babydoll dresses. Babydoll dresses may feel like they're covering you up, however, the fabric rather highlights your tummy and does nothing for your figure. If you are self conscious about your tummy, rather opt for a pair of high waisted undies as these synch in your waist. 

Low cut underwear.
Again, these don't accentuate your curves and sink into skin and cause bulges that were never there! The higher the cut, the better. 

Heavy Prints
When choosing lingerie with prints, opt for delicate designs. Large prints will draw focus on one area and are often distracting to the eye.
